Overview The Accounting Manager will report directly to the Corporate Controller and is a critical member of the accounting operations team. This individual will be heavily involved in the monthly financial statement close, financial reporting, the annual audit, tax, accounting and other financial systems, and accounting policies, procedures, and controls. The successful candidate will be adept at moving effectively between strategic and operational levels, taking a hands-on approach when needed and providing structure. The role will have significant interaction with the CFO, and functional leaders. RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of account reconciliations, analysis and presentation of the monthly financial close. Assist in the preparation of the monthly management financial reports.Manage accounts receivable, internal use capitalized software, debt accounting, and general ledger activities. Manage and implement technical accounting and tax pronouncements and stay current and adopt all mandated technical accounting pronouncements.Manage the day to day audit process including the preparation of support, Financial Statements and interactions with the external audit firm.Select and implement a stock option tracking system. Manage processes for recording stock option activity and ensure compliance.Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures as required with a focus on driving efficiencies through effective and efficient use of our accounting systems. Work closely with CFO, Controller, FP&A to manage the financial results of the business. Provide oversight and support for the management of department level operating expenses.Assist Controller and CFO on the preparation of Board packages, special projects and documentation/automation of processes.QUALIFICATIONS:CPA designation and Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.5 years minimum of relevant experience in finance related roles and public accounting, previous accounting manager experience is a plus.Demonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines.Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.Experience with NetSuite or a similar system preferred.Previous experience with SaaS / subscription business models preferred.SEC experience preferred.Capital markets related activities is a plus.Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; detail-oriented, highly-organized and resourceful.Strong written and verbal communication skills.LOCATION/COMPENSATION:Cambridge, MA$120k
