The Accounts Payable Manager is primarily responsible for managing all accounts payable (A?APA? ) functions, develop, implement and maintain AP system policies and procedures, and provide support to other members of the finance team during the month end close process. The ideal candidate should be someone who thrive in a fast:paced and team:oriented environment, demonstrate sound judgement and strong attention to detail, be motivated to learn and take on additional responsibilityManage all Accounts Payable functions, including vendor registration and vendor master maintenance, vendor relations management, accurate check/ACH/wire processing, 1099 and sales and user tax related matters.Develop, implement and maintain system policies and procedures relating to accounts payable functions to ensure compliance and adherence to company policies and guidelines.Managing team workload and provide necessary training and support to members of the AP team.Ensure timely close of AP module at month end and provide support to other members of the finance team as required.Supervise the administration of Concur travel and expense processes and prepare the related T and E journal entries for the ControllerA?s review.Supervise the administration of the corporate card program with Bank of America.Timely prepare and file annual 1099 forms to vendors and IRS.Collaborate with the Procurement department re the implementation of a company:wide Purchase Order and Requisition system in 2017.Address performance issues, make recommendations for personnel actions and ensure direct reports including contractors are effectively motivated. Perform other duties as assigned.BachelorA?s degree with an accounting, finance or business administration major.Minimum of 7 years of accounts payable experience including at least 3:4 years of supervisory experience. Prior experience with Concur direct system administration.Prior Automated AP Processing System experience.Experienced in annual Form:1099 filing.Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to multi:task in a fast:paced environment to meet project deadlines. Preferred but not required qualifications : Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry
