ECONOMETRIC ANALYST (Weiss Asset Management LP; Boston, Massachusetts): The Econometric Analyst will use statistical analysis to develop investment and arbitrage strategies, as well as investigate and model value investments in emerging markets. The Econometric Analyst will be expected to create valuation and statistical models using C, Python, R, SQL, STATA, MATLAB, Mathematica and Bloomberg. Specific responsibilities of the Econometric Analyst may also include initial legal and valuation due diligence of
distressed and/or illiquid assets.

Minimum requirements are: PhD in Economics or a closely related quantitative field, or its equivalent

Must have: Proven ability and experience in statistical arbitrage strategies and value investing; proven ability with C, Python, R, and SQL; proven ability with STATA, MATLAB, Mathematica, and Bloomberg; and a documented idea for a fund arbitrage investment.
