Job Description: The Assistant Treasurer will: (1) Examine and analyze financial data to determine and monitor the financial standing and viability of Atlantic Union Conference, and its numerous subordinate entities; (2) Prepare periodic financial statements and budget reports, such as Treasurer's Quarterly and Yearly Statistical Reports; Education Cost Survey Reports; Trust Services Statistical Reports; (3) Prepare Quarterly and Yearly Federal and State Tax Filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations; (4) Develop and maintain accounting procedures and functions in managing the organization's resources and assets, payroll functions, employee benefits; (5) Provide training in accounting procedures based on Church Standards to Union, Conference, and other subordinate entity personnel; (6) Maintain records of Atlantic Union's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax liabilities, and monthly close-out procedures; (7) Maintain records of monthly and yearly reports for Atlantic Union's Revolving Fund; (8) Work closely with Treasury Personnel in preparing financial reports for Quinquennial Session.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting: 2 years of experience as an Assistant Treasurer or a Chief Accountant, experience must include Sun Systems or AASI accounting. Employer will also accept bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
