Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operation of a PC-based digital communications system, answering incoming calls and directing callers to appropriate departments or personnel. Perform other administrative functions to support our client's needs. The role of Receptionist is primarily self-directed, requiring low-to-moderate level problem solving capabilities, and the ability to independently communicate to both internal and external customers in a professional manner. Major responsibilities include: - Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of calls, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department. - Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable. - Answer general questions about the organization and provide callers with address, directions, business hours and other information. - Welcome on-site visitors, determine the nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel, monitor visitor access, maintain visitor log book, and issue building passes when required. - Update conference room calendars. - Receive, sort, and route mail and publications, and receive office supplies and packages. - Performs clerical duties for other departments as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating. - Assists mail department functions of sorting and distribution of incoming mail and collection and posting of outgoing mail. May include occasional pickup / delivery of mail from / to the local post office. Education and Experience: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills/Knowledge: - Strong oral communication skills. - Ability to assess situations and resolve with sound decision making skills - Ability to work with many different personalities and levels of callers - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel with general computer proficiency and basic understanding of Internet applications - Ability to recognize issues with automated call system, resolving simple display issues and succinctly reporting more complex issues to supervisors and technology support. - Ability to lift up to approx. 40 pounds. - Valid driver's license with clean driving record. - Ability to travel for training if required **Organization:** _EIG Operations_ **Title:** _Receptionist_ **Location:** _MA-Natick-Natick West Central Street_ **Requisition ID:** _01819_
