Job Description
The SENIOR PROCUREMENT MANAGER is responsible for developing, reviewing and maintaining the production and construction schedule. Establishing the production plan will involve working closely with operations leaders, quality, engineering and sales to coordinate project construction plans that achieve the company objectives relative to customer project installations.
The position is further responsible for all aspects of purchasing and contract procurement the Company operates within budget as it pertains to all project costs and vendor contracts. Must have five (5) plus years experience of purchasing in manufacturing. to procuring raw material and subcontracted services as needed to achieve the production plan.
The companys products are included in very large construction and installation projects managed through company as well as independent project managers. Typical projects range from 1 million to 15 million and up to 12 months to complete.

Managing all aspects of purchasing and vendor contracts.

Provide support to ensure proper timing and accuracy of purchasing deliveries.

Creating and assisting with purchasing budgets and plans including annual operating budgets and new item requests.

Soliciting competitive contract pricing and negotiating purchase prices to ensure best pricing available.

Coordinating order deliveries to ensure timeliness and cost efficiency of all purchases.

Reducing costs whenever possible through improved purchasing practices.

Creating and presenting professional proposals.

Ensure the availability of critical materials while maintaining on time project performance.

Determine materials and product requirements by analyzing engineering drawings and construction project timelines. Place purchase orders for all procured materials, supplies, components, subcontracting, and other services as needed to fulfill each projects construction and installation needs.

Second source strategic purchases as needed to mitigate risk

Create and manage purchase orders and request for quotes to include technical documents, pricing, delivery, and key milestones to ensure on:time receipt of materials for construction schedules.

Coordinate and team with Engineering to ensure successful sourcing of new product design and product design improvements along with ongoing effective supplier management of quality, production, and/or design issues

Scheduling incoming orders and change orders to meet customer shipping requirements.

Initiates prioritization of customer demands as a result of changes in plans or customer requirement.

Responsible for procurement and delivery of assigned products and services needed to meet production and customer deadlines.

Utilizes inventory control tools to maintain inventory accuracy

Analyze, adjust, and optimize product and component inventory levels to coincide with project construction needs and lead time changes.

Coordinate quality issues with suppliers as required and schedule formal QBRs as needed

Work closely with manufacturing,
shipping/receiving, and project management personnel to avoid any adverse production impact from supplier delivery delays.

Other duties as assigned.


A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or MBA, plus at least five years financial experience in construction industry and experience with private financing and/or federal agencies is preferred.
Minimum of 5:10 years relevant work experience in supply chain management, planning and
