Cosman Medical is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer I. This position will support our Radiofrequency (RF) Ablation business. RFA is a versatile outpatient procedure with a more than 50:year track record of providing relief for patients with chronic pain. One in three Americans suffer from chronic pain and more than 100 million people are partially or totally disabled by pain. In the United States, it is the number one cause of disability in adults.
The position of Electrical Engineer includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
: Under general supervision, organizes, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, designs, and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems such as radiofrequency lesion generators
: Applies principles and theories of electronics and electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics
: Coordinate the functions of an engineering laboratory; assist engineers in design and preparation of research and development activities
: Additional Duties:
: Drawing design sketches of complex and/or advanced electronic units;
: Independent assembly of integrated, complex experimental circuitry and prototype models, in accordance with engineering instructions;
: Recommending and implementing changes and modifications to circuitry and/or installation specifications;
: Setting up, calibrating, and modification of complex test apparatus and/or devising complex test equipment and circuitry;
: Supervision of experiments and lower level technical personnel
: Maintenance, oversight, and review of complex technical documentation, reports, charts, graphs, and schematics.
: Bachelors degree or higher in a Science, Engineering or Technology discipline from an accredited institution
: Minimum of one (1) year of job experience requiring the use of electrical:technical processes and equipment
: Oscilloscope work experience is highly preferred for this position
: Experience with preparing field drawings of design proposals
: Exceptional ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions
: Knowledge of electronic layouts, components and circuitry assembly procedures
: Exceptional ability to communicate with and understand the requirements of professional staff in area of specialty
: Records maintenance skills
: Ability to evaluate circuitry systems and design specification modifications
: Ability to configure and/or design electronic test equipment and circuitry
: Ability to perform preventive maintenance on computer hardware and software
: Ability to make adjustments and modifications to electronic circuitry and components
: Ability to write reports containing technical information, and analyze operational data and develop graphic and/or written interpretations
: Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
: Light physical effort. Requires handling of average:weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking. Effort applies to no more than two (2) hours per day.
