Your challenge To be a Learning products Developer (Technical Writer) for 3 products: • Intellibridge System (IBS): IBS is a plug-and-play solution that integrates data from Point-of-Care devices with Hospital Information Systems. The system provides a consolidated view of patient data for use by caregivers in operating rooms or intensive care units. Product documentation includes help text and service manuals. • IntelliSpace Console Critical Care: A cloud-based clinical decision support dashboard supporting enhanced workflows in the intensive care unit (ICU). Product has an easy-to-use dashboard that provides access to patient data across multiple systems and EMRs to help streamline, prioritize, and analyze complex patient data quickly. Product documentation includes service guides. • Legacy Service Products and Peripherals: Various service guides and addenda to support legacy products. Your team Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions – Connected Care Solutions Our offer Writer is responsible for research and development of original and updated content for the following deliverables: IFU (instructions for use), installation guides, and service manuals. Position is based in Andover, MA. Will involve some limited travel. Candidate will have experience in scheduling and planning of documentation. Candidate will have experience in working in an environment that requires regular, scheduled deliverables. Candidate will have ability to juggle multiple documents and work with a wide variety of source matter experts. Simple, concise approach and experience in developing large amounts of original content Candidate will have ability to develop technically accurate content for the clinical user as well as the service user quickly and with a high degree of technical accuracy. Document defects and validate defect resolutions that impact customer and service documentation. Create, review, and comply with Philips Standard Operating Procedures that apply to the job function. Work with Regulatory team to ensure that you comply with all FDA processes. We are looking for • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing or related degree or equivalent experience. • 7 to 10 years (minimum) experience in technical documentation. • Adobe FrameMaker Expert • Knowledge of Arbor Text and migration of Frame to Arbor Text is a plus • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio and PowerPoint • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or similar products • Solution-oriented team player who can adapt quickly to changing requirements • Clear direct style and experience in presenting information in a concise, usable way • Experience developing new material and working to align with product deadlines Pluses • Experience with documentation of clinical technologies, products and operations • Knowledge and Experience in computer technology, IP networking, wireless technology and communications • Web Services, XML • Documentation single sourcing • Experience in working and aligning to an Agile product development environment and delivering iterative drafts • A person who has a strong background in network documentation and any type of service installation guides in a computer environment would be a good match for this position. • It is critically important that this person know how to write original content (not just edit specs or create templates.)
