Description
Responsible for developing software modules in Python to support downstream research and analysis conducted by our company. The modules will handle data from financial institutions (FIs), where such data is stored in diverse information systems, including but not limited to SQL-based databases and delimiter-separated text-based flat-files. Customize modules so they can identify errors or anomalies in raw data, and correct such errors automatically. Use Python's extensive data import capabilities and text manipulation functions. Ensure that these modules are capable of efficiently handling billions of records from anywhere between tens of thousands to millions of accounts, for datasets that are between tens of gigabytes to terabytes in size. Program Python modules such as SciPy and NumPy for scientific computing, pandas for frame-oriented data manipulation, scikit-learn for machine learning, matplotlib for graphical outputs, and statsmodels for statistical modelling. Craft application modules to sift through data to identify savings behavior, loan performance, usage of channels, evolution of client behavior over time, interaction between savings and loan products, rollups of specific types of transactions, clusters of clients who show similar behavior over time, impact of historical interventions captured in time series data. Monitor software performance and troubleshoot applications to resolve issues with code and design. Prepare the presentation material through a combination of Python, STATA or R, and Excel. Document the software modules he creates, and author user manuals for other coders.
