Kids and Company is growing Nearly 100 centers and growing quickly
We are looking to hire a Center Director for our newest location in Boston (Seaport), MA.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
The Center Director serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are educated in a safe learning environment.
Achieving academic excellence requires that the Center Director work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the Center staff and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, marketing, accreditation, credentialing, new program development, financial management, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (also see education requirements)
:Director II qualifications (from EEC) are REQUIRED
:Bachelors Degree Early Childhood Education with Business coursework preferred
:Minimum three years teaching experience preferred
:Minimum of 2 Years Experience as a Asst. Director or Director preferred or prior management experience
:Infant/Toddler certification (preferred)
:School Age certification (preferred)
:Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
:Must meet all Requirements of Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations for Directorship.
:CPR/First Aid certification
:Proficient in Microsoft Office
:Solid foundation of licensing knowledge in childcare legislation

Main Duties:
:Responsible for the overall operation of the childcare center, which includes; staffing, parent tours/orientation, communication with head office and care of all children.
:Managing the enrollment projections of the center
:Mentoring, motivating, and providing guidance and discipline of staff, when required.
:Maintaining positive community relations
:Manages parent concerns and respond to parent questions
:Administrative duties
:Basic HR related duties
