The Business of Doing Good is a social entrepreneurship program for middle school students who want to develop social impact driven passion projects. Our mission is to inspire kids to discover what is truly meaningful to them -- and empower them with the skills to put their ideas into action.

The Business of Doing Good hosts week-long boot camps for students in Boston, New York and Philadelphia. The instructor will walk students through ideation and design thinking activities to help inspire their passion projects. We are looking for entrepreneurial, kind and dynamic individuals. We are looking for a candidate with prior teaching experience, ideally with middle school aged students. The instructor will work with the Lead Instructor and Founder.

Partnerships
Establish connections with schools, parents and community members in your region to build BODOG brand and program
Maintain communication with and records for BODOG community members (students, alumni, business partners and local heroes)

Teaching

Deliver lessons at regional boot camps and facilitate workshops as needed
Coach individual students and teams through project development phase
Manage logistics for the regional site (i.e. confirming locations, purchase orders)
Ensure safety and welfare of students during on-site and off-site activities
Encourage and develop curiosity and problem-solving skills among students
Create a caring, supportive, purposeful, and stimulating environment
Delegate responsibilities to assistant teachers and interns
Create and administer assessments to redesign curriculum
Attend trainings and meetings as required

Boston Dates:
5-Day Summer Boot Camp: 8:30am – 3:30pm
August 6 – August 10, WeWork, South Station
August 13 – August 17, Cathedral HS, SouthEnd
On-site training will be available on Tuesday evenings in November 2017 and January 2018 in Charlestown with our partner organization.

Philadelphia Dates:
Workshop on Sunday, November 19 in Old City
Workshop on Monday, February 19, Location TBD
5-Day Summer Boot Camp: 8:30am – 3:30pm
August 13 – August 17, Saxbys Corporate HQ Rittenhouse
On-site training will be arranged.

New York Dates:
5-Day Summer Boot Camp: 8:30am – 3:30pm
July 30 – August 3, Knewton, 100 Fifth Avenue
On-site training will be arranged.
