The Assistant, Human Resources will report to the Director, Human Resources and will be responsible for performing a broad range of functions within the Human Resources Department. The Assistant, HR will support both the Retail and Corporate HR Business Partners as well as act as a resource for Corporate and Retail managers and employees. Responsibilities for this position include various administrative duties in connection with the HR function, including data entry, new hire paperwork compliance, and ad hoc projects.AdministrativeRetail: Process HR system actions for all store locations including new hires, rehires, terminations, transfers, promotions, status changes, vacation payout calculations, leaves of absence, performance action notices, and Corrective Action sign:offs.Management of the Internship Program including posting positions, partnering with Colleges, screening applicants and working with managers to identify candidates.Partner with internal and external resources to schedule and track training programs being offered to employees. Manage the annual reporting requirements for corporate plete verbal and written employment verification requests.Process and track all background checks for internal and external candidates.Sort and distribute daily HR mail.Support the Recruiter with job postings, offer letters, and creating new hire packages. Project Initiatives : Provides assistance in department objectives and projects to improve processes, encourage use of best practices and meet departmental goals.Other duties include but are not limited to invoice processing, filing, copying, scheduling meetings, ordering office supplies, creating presentations, and any other administrative duties as assigned. Represent the brand and utilize the PUMA 4Keys (Fair, Honest, Positive, Creative) in all decisions, actions, processes and practices.1:2 years administrative experience or bachelorA?s degree in related field.Must be a self:starter with proven ability to work independently.Must have proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments in a fast paced environment.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public.Ability to maintain confidentiality in daily operations and conduct job duties with integrity and high professional standards and manner.Proficient in MS Office Suite and web based application navigation.HRIS and Outlook experience helpful but not required.
