For more information, visit Human Resources Officer will support all human resources activities from the U.S. with coordination from the Liberia team. The Officer will be the representative for U.S. staff as well as expatriate staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working with international staff and basic knowledge of expat labor law as well as U.S. Federal and State labor law. Staffing : US and Global PositionsDevelop TORs for new positions, coordinate the approvals, and advertise with relevant networksLead resume screen and phone screenSchedule interviews with hiring team and act as liaison between candidate and hiring teamConduct reference checks and background checks as necessaryDraft agreements/contracts and extend offersCoordinate Onboarding for new hires (paperwork, flight, visa, email access)Coordinate off:boarding for exiting staffBenefits Administration and PayrollAct as administrator for international and domestic insuranceRun semi:monthly payroll for US and Expat staff plus work with finance to process third country national payroll monthlyAdministrativeEmployee records upkeepHRIS and ATS system maintenance and managementPolicy writing, updates, and communications Assist employees ad hoc with policy questions, requests for documents and/or staff information for Partnerships and Development TeamManage and update changes to US Handbook and conduct employee record audits quarterlyCoordinate travel for new hires and current staffCoordinate with the Finance Team to ensure timely payment to vendors BS in Human Resource Management or related field3:5 years in human resources2+ years in non:profit/international NGO preferredPrevious experience with payroll (preferably Paylocity) and recruitment (preferably iCIMS)Knowledge of Federal and State labor law requirements requiredKnowledge of Expatriate labor law requirements, exemptions, and applicability preferredExperience managing HR functions internationally preferredAn organized individual who can prioritize multiple projects at onceAn understanding of grant compliance within HR functionsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsExperience handling confidential and sensitive informationLast Mile Health is an equal opportunity employer.
