The main focus of our design consulting activity will be with healthcare customers, IDN’s (Integrated delivery networks) and ACO’s (Accountable Care Organizations) that are seeking transformative solutions. Designer (Strategic Design) Job Summary As a project contributor you stimulate the creative process with new ideas and inputs through sketching visualizations and simulations. You contribute to the project outcome by advising other project members on how best to solve the client’s problem. You will need to visit the customer’s location for research and project delivery purposes. You have the ability to effectively interface with contractors and vendors. Leveraging the cocreate approach you work in close co-operation with members of the design team other consultants from across Philips to develop patient centric solutions that support the project goals. Always striving for design solutions that impact patient experience and the customer ROI. Your Responsibilities: Using field research and an expertise in the healthcare domain our designers define solutions that improve spatial environments and clinical workflow. Designers work in multidisciplinary teams consulting directly with the healthcare industry and are able to deal with issues around interior architecture, lighting and workflow within clinical environments. Analytical & conceptual skills: Understand clinical and experiential needs for both patients and staff within a healthcare environment Interview key stakeholders in the healthcare field to gain insights and knowledge Interpret user needs and create relevant and meaningful concepts and solutions Review plans and layouts and offer experience design improvements Visual and experience design skills: Interpret 2D floor plans, understand user zoning and create innovative spatial and experiential design solutions Ability to communicate design ideas using appropriate visualizations and design specifications Proficiency across 2d and 3d design software (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch up, Rhino, 3D Studio Max, V-ray, AutoCAD, Revit) Communicating & influencing skills You communicate ideas clearly and can influence an audience effectively You are able to present your ideas and stimulate discussions with clients Your profile: Able to demonstrate technical, creative and business understanding and insight Excellent design skills, including sketching and AutoCAD / SketchUp and Vectorworks / Studio 3D Max / Adobe Suite of products Strong presentation skills Visual – schematics, posters, diagrams / Verbal – confident and structured presentations Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken) Balance between: Creative & original / realistic and pragmatic Able to analyze and synthesize effectively and efficiently Flexible / Self-motivated and able to work independently / Problem solver Team player and networker Strong interpersonal and communication skills (at all levels inside and outside the organization) Able to adapt and thrive within a multicultural business environment Affinity to work in a fast paced environment, including tight deadlines, and showing a high degree of flexibility of working on various international project locations Regional and international travel (up to 50%) Notes Please be aware that will need all of the following for your application: 1. cover letter in English, stating career objective 2. current CV or resume in English 3. digital portfolio or link to your on-line portfolio, clearly showing your role(s) and responsibilities in the work shown
