Job Summary After the brief has been defined by the client and responsible design director, you guide the development of the design ideas in the project from basic product concepts through to fully worked out design solutions. Must be experienced in all aspects of high-end interior Architectural & Product design, and have strong client management and team work skills. As a project leader, you contribute to the project by stimulating the creative process with new ideas and input (e.g., visualizations and simulations), affecting the project and outcome. You also contribute to the outcome by advising other project members on how best to solve the client’s problem. You have the ability to effectively interface with both contractors and vendors. You work according to the AED process and creative vision and direction, in close co-operation with the other members of the design team and the Creative Director AE. You identify, select, develop, and manage a diverse supplier base, covering the different aspect needed in Ambient Experience design projects. The focus will be healthcare. Your Responsibilities Participate and provide input in defining the plan to realize the projects, including the needs analysis and the concept creation Design and realize solutions on sites, on the basis of the agreed upon project brief and on your own professional orientation, in delegated contact with the client (including presentations) and in contact with other specialists, after close consultation with your design account director or senior design consultant, and/or overall project leader, and other specialists. Communicate the project’s strategic vision on interior design architecture with the site’s artistic, technical, budgetary, time, and staffing implementation; ensure execution of the production process Document your proposals, input, and findings in a report format to the senior consultant or design account director, in order for him/her to make the appropriate decisions Mentor, and inspire more junior designers Coordinate all activities and communication between internal Philips and external partners involved; also consulting with the clients’ organization, to embed the solutions (content, workflows, systems, etc.) Contribute to translating project needs into costs and participates in cost estimates Visit the clients (world-wide) and specialists, in order to keep the projects running in the right way and at the right speed Position in the Projects/Team You guide and mentor individual team members on the content and technical aspects of the project at hand. You do this by coaching, advising, and stimulating them.
