About the Job
Randstad is working with a prominent Boston hospital, who needs 2 permanent/direct hire Medical Records Coordinators for their busy Dept. of Medicine.

The perfect candidate for this role will have come from a healthcare background (major Boston hospital, partner's preferred) who has great organizational skills, can multi-task, also someone who is autonomous (self starter), and has appropriate communication skills with all levels of staff (from upper management, down). This candidate, for the majority, will be pulling medical records for patients in the Department of Medicine, which includes Pulmonary, Endocrine, Renal, and GI. They will work with the patient service reps to make all documents are readily available for patient. This candidate will be taking inbound and making outbound calls to patients, physicians, and providers alike, which is why customer service/communication skills are very important. EPIC experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities include

-Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong organizational skills
-Deadline and detailed oriented
-Orders/coordinates/obtains outside imaging, reports, and lab results, as well as any additional clinical information needed to insure efficiency and accuracy of consultations and second opinion visits.Prepares necessary documentation for scheduled patient appointments
-Acquires all materials necessary for the patient visit including medical records, any pertinent testing including x-rays, echos, CT's, MRI's, stress tests or any other testing performed outside of Brigham and Women's Hospital.
-Processes patient and hospital material accurately and expeditiously. Including uploading all necessary CD's into the patients' medical record.
-Accurately and efficiently scans and indexes all new patient records, as dictated by Clinic standards, into the EPIC system.
-Advises patients about what to do with records or forms they might bring to the visit
