External Posting TitleClinical Program Demand LeadJob DescriptionThe Clinical Program Demand Lead role provides strategic program and study level leadership to ensure a best in class approach with regard to vendor outsourcing for all clinical trials (e.g. SRC & Phase I - IV studies) and program level vendor contracts. This includes developing program and study level outsourcing plans to ensure proactive management of vendor outsourcing needs and identification of new vendor services. Collaborate with study teams to understand/obtain study needs, timelines and specifications to allow for communication to planning & external facing CSP roles. Responsible for providing timely vendor contract statuses to SMT members.1. Provide vendor outsourcing expertise at a program level. Provide program oversight / leadership working in collaboration with the COS Director (COSD) and other relevant functions when planning the vendor outsourcing strategy during the life cycle of a compound. Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:a. Develop a Program Outsourcing Plan (POP) with program team; maximize use of preferred and qualified Biogen vendorsb. Proactively identify new vendor category needs as a result of POP development & collaborate with Vendor Contract Lead(s) (VCLs)/Vendor Contract Manager(s) (VCMs) to identify new vendorc. Understand & confirm pipeline for compound(s) to include Resource Estimation updates in Biogen’s resource management system2. Provide vendor outsourcing expertise at a study level to include, but not limited to:a. Roll-out of POP at the study level & customize it for study requirements while ensuring team maximizes the use of preferred and qualified Biogen vendorsb. Proactively identify new vendor category needs & obtain approval from COSD to deviate from POP. Collaborate with VCLs/VCMs to identify new vendor.3. Collaborate with SMTs or Functional Directors/Heads to communicate the following to the VCM(s) and PPL:a. Study level requirements (e.g. specs, timelines, vendors)b. Operational synergies / nuances that may impact pricing, quality & vendor selectionc. Review study level contract status updates. Identify & understand any potential risks. Proactively communicate status to SMTd. Identify potential vendor contract change in scopes; understand & effectively communicate operational changes that could impact vendor budget &/or contract4. Lead/participate in the creation and maintenance of department processes, tools and templates5.
