Successful candidates will become part of a creative and flexible team.Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:- Investigate host/pathogen interactions, the influence of the microbiome on host immunity, and support screening efforts with the ultimate goal of delivering novel therapeutics to address significant unmet medical need in infectious disease as well as broader indications.- Leverage advances in the study of host-pathogen interactions and employ new technologies to impact programs.- Expertise with growing and working with bacterial strains, maintaining mammalian cell cultures, experience with high throughput screening, designing & implementing animal models of infection, DNA cloning, western blotting, ELISA, advanced microscopy and flow cytometry.- Critical to success are a high degree of organization, a go-getter mentality, as well as advanced experimental capabilitiesQualificationsEducation:- Required: BS in Microbiology / Biology / Biochemistry or related discipline- Preferred: MS in Microbiology / Biology / Biochemistry or related disciplineRequired Experience:- Minimum of (2) years Laboratory Research experience in an Academic and/or Industrial setting- Bacteria Isolation and Growth, Maintenance of Mammalian Cell Culture- Molecular Biology, Cloning, DNA and RNA Purification, qPCR- Western Blotting, ELISAPreferred Experience:- In-Vivo experience: handling, adoptive transfers, oral gavages, dosing- High Throughput Screening- Flow Cytometry- Fluorescence/confocal Microscopy- Fluent English Written / Verbal SkillsOur employees are the key to our company’s success.
