Be part of that tomorrow. Reebok's design apprenticeship program is a 1 year training program for newly graduated design students to learn the responsibilities and process of a designer.Expanding the talent and knowledge of our future designers is the goal.  PURPOSEThe Graphic Design Apprentice will support all of the business units assisting on graphics and design process to be used on apparel and accessories.  KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESPlotting and fabric printing tutorialsServer and file conventionsIllustrator tutorial: style, templates, best practicesParticipate in seasonal research, theme building, and concept developmentBegin to create artwork from team’s concept sketches with direction from managerParticipate in preparing presentation materials for milestone meetingsRevisions to existing overview boards under direction of managerAmending existing tech packs under direction of managerAttend periodic 1:1, team, department, x-functional, and milestone meetings, and action any tasks that arise from meetingsAttend periodic artwork handoffs and prototype review sessions, and action any tasks that arise from meetingsQuarter 2Mastering Illustrator techniques and best practicesBegin creating tech packs for approved artwork under direction of managerParticipate in preparing presentation materials for milestone meetingsTracking of calendar deadlines and milestone dates with increased independenceCreate and maintain overview boards under direction of managerBegin to work closely with Apparel and Footwear teams to coordinate artwork and prepare presentationsInitiate individual project under direction of mentor (manager or other team lead as agreed upon)Quarter 3Mastering creation of tech packs with increased independenceBegin to design minor concepts/collections under direction of manager (i.e. Graphic tees, Logo reads)Present progress on individual project with team and accept feedback for refinementBegin to work with mentor on career coachingQuarter 4Design minor concepts/collections with minimal direction (i.e. Graphic tees, Logo reads)Complete work on individual project and present to teamWork with assigned mentor for resume, portfolio and interviewing coaching (optional) KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIESStrong knowledge of adobe illustratorGood computer skills in general, and strong Mac skillsGood researching skillsAbility to create image and concept boardsGood time management skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to follow instructions but also proactive to propose new ideas and solutions QUALIFICATIONS1. Bachelor’s degree in design (typically fashion or apparel)2. Graduation date of no more than 1 semester prior to the start of the program3. Prior internships or coops a plus4. Experience with graphics for apparel.
