TCBa€ (TM) s strategic plan calls for continued growth in existing markets of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and the District of Columbia and expansion of our real estate development capacity, community life engagement, resident resource building, financial strength, and property management, all guided by our mission a€œto build and sustain strong communities where people of all incomes can fulfill their full potential.Position Description: Reporting to the Community Manager, the Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) will develop and coordinate support services for residents of Chauncy House, a new 88-unit property in the Chinatown area of Boston. Resident service coordination will ensure resident and community success through close work with property management, building and sustaining relationships with local and regional partners, planning programs and other on-site opportunities, and working one-on-one with residents to assist them in achieving their goals. The RSC is an integral part of the property management team and plays a critical role in the overall positive culture of the property for the enjoyment of its residents and the respect of its neighbors. Housing stabilization, health and wellness, education, workforce development, financial literacy and youth development are areas of focus that will be delivered through referrals to quality, local partners, on-site workshops and individual support. Community engagement and community building activities will be essential in order to create a sense of community and initiate a gateway to other support services.TCB uses a resident-centered approach to deliver resident services. In addition, the RSC, in collaboration with the Community Life HUB team, will track performance measures, administer an annual survey, develop a Community Success Plan, and evaluate effectiveness of the partnerships to impact outcome measures.The Resident Services Coordinator will also assist the Community Manager with property-related activities, such as re-certifications and move-ins/outs. Essential Functions: Develop strategic partnerships with local service providers focused on the following areas: education, youth development, workforce development, financial stability and asset building, and community engagementConduct a Community Life Questionnaire annuallyManage relationships with local organizations and stakeholders; initiate strategic relationships with local service providersMonitor budget and activities for program operations, including meeting reporting requirements and managing progress towards fulfilling deliverablesBuild relationships with residents to better understand their needs and aspirations and connect them with external resourcesDevelop Community Success Plan, a strategic plan that is updated annuallyAssist the Community Manager with re-certifications, move-ins and auditsConduct new welcome orientations for new residentsPerform consistent outreach and communication with residents, including newsletters, flyers, telephone calls and door knockingUse of TCB's data collection system, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) to document services provided to residents and outcomes achievedSpecial event planning/coordination with partners and property management staffAlign initiatives with the outcomes, mission and goals of TCB Community LifeParticipation and coordination of resources around Watch List issues such as housekeeping and money management for late rent payersParticipate in ongoing professional and property management developmentManage administrative tasks required for securing and executing contracts with providers and partners to carry out programmingRecruit and lead volunteers to assist on the site Other duties and responsibilities as requestedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand and respect values, attitudes, and beliefs that differ across cultures and to respond appropriately to these differences with residents in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and servicesCapable of building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but, not limited to: residents, senior staff, volunteers, interns, and community partnersExperience working with families and seniors to support their aspirationsAbility to collect, track and understand data In order to assess programs and partnerships and inform strategiesOperate in a timely manner, with consistency and a high level of integrity and professionalism; provide excellent customer service to residents and partnersExcellent communication, organization and writing skillsKnowledge of federal, state and local policies affecting housing is a plus.Education & Experience: Bachelora€ (TM) s degree with a focus in social work, urban planning, public health, human services, or community development2+ years of overall professional experience working with families in housing or human services requiredExperience overseeing and managing partnerships and/or collaborativesProficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer programsPrevious experience in property management, and knowledge of HUD regulations a plus.Previous engagement, communication and collaboration with residents of diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds preferredExperience working with partners and site team members to implement programs and initiativesKnowledge of workforce development strategiesKnowledge of Yardi, Property Management databases, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) is a plus.Bilingual English/Cantonese speaker is essentialThe Resident Services Coordinator is a 24 hours per week position.
