*Ensure the sales floor is adequately staffed from a sales and tactical perspective, providing world:class service
*In partnership with the General Manager, analyze business trends and create, implement and communicate weekly plans to ensure Units Per Transaction, Average Trans, Conversion and Sales Per Hour goals are achieved
*Develop, implement and manage clientele programs for associates to drive sales
*Develop contests and other programs to motivate associates to increase sales and raise team spirit
*Assess associate personnel needs on a continuous basis and prepare for future growth by actively recruiting top talent at all levels
*Manage ongoing training programs to ensure staff is trained in product knowledge and operational systems
*Work with the General Manager to identify future leaders and mentor them by creating Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
*Create and maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity in accordance with our People:First Philosophy
*Ensure brand merchandising and display standards are maintained and that store is consistently replenished from stockroom to sales floor
*Manage seasonal floorset implementation and merchandise updates through planning and business partnerships
*Analyze business trends, inventory levels and customer feedback with General Manager and make appropriate merchandising and display adjustments
*Manage markdowns and necessary product moves to ensure proper signage and placement
*Communicate inventory levels, necessary markdowns and trends to General Manager
*Acts as a liaison between Customer Care Department and store to help resolve escalated issues
*In partnership with General Manager, prioritizes, plans, and adjusts schedules and agendas to ensure all business goals are achieved.
*Establish and maintain a safe work environment and ensures ongoing training and awareness
*Ensure all company policies and procedures are consistently followed by Williams:Sonoma Inc. associates, vendors and suppliers
*Manage and control payroll, supply levels, courier costs, cash control and correct billing/coding
*Ensure timely resolution of client service issues including delivery/pick:up and outstanding issues through effective use and management of client information reporting system
*Be held accountable for the following brand competencies: operates with strategic agility, drives innovation and change, provides influential leadership, communicates effectively, develops self and others, creates teams and partnerships, focuses on the customer, models personal accountability, builds operations excellence and drives execution
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
