Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this role, Identity Marketing Manager Open Innovation & LifeHub are to:

  • Operate the Bayer Open Innovation platform (BOIP);
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Bayer internal functions/divisions;
  • Lead the stakeholder operational team towards continuous improvement of the BOIP user experience, define and measure key success factors;
  • Serve as the local communication point of contact for the LifeHub Boston;
  • Work with Bayer Corporate Communications and Communications groups across divisions to align on messaging for overall LifeHub as well as specific programs and events;
  • Serve as the content administrator for the LifeHub Boston web site, LifeHub event invitations, email newsletter, and other marketing outreach, working with LifeHub leadership and project sponsors for content;
  • Create and maintain a database of interested external participants in events, projects, etc.;
  • Use various marketing channels to recruit participants external to the LifeHub Boston;
  • Translate the LifeHub cultural ambition into unique events, program, day-to-day operations for a diverse set of Bayer internal and external stakeholders spanning across Bayer Life Sciences – Pharma, Crop Science and Consumer Health;
  • Work with design partners (agencies, freelance designers, etc.) to develop event collateral and uphold brand guidelines;
  • Populate Open Innovation at Bayer and LifeHub Boston social media feeds, coordinating with Bayer internal communications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience;
  • Understanding and experience of latest and greatest in online and social media marketing;
  • Experience planning immersive, delightful events for the public;
  • Strong network or networking skills targeting the local academic, influencer, startup and general community of Cambridge;
  • Culturally savvy to navigate within a complex organization and across various functions;
  • Able to collaborate with different personality styles in a professional manner;
  • Willing to get your hands dirty - no job too big or too small;
  • Demonstrate creativity in event planning;
  • Professional above all;
  • Excellent time-management, oral and written communication and organizational skills;
  • Experience in working in complex situations with diverse stakeholders;
  • Ability to make quick decisions taking into account both Bayer and external partner considerations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in communication, marketing, public relations, social media, branding, event management or a hospitality role;
  • Experience with online marketing platforms like Wordpress, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, other systems;
  • Experience planning immersive, delightful events for the public, in a corporate environment.
