Job Description

The Sales Counselor is responsible for implementing marketing procedures that will motivate prospects to choose Lasell Village as their retirement residence. They will establish a rapport with prospects and sell Lasell Villages programs, services, and policies. The Sales Counselor will need to be skilled in overcoming barriers to move prospects toward deposit status and becoming a resident of the Village. Quality customer service is a top priority for everyone at the Village.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SALES COUNSELOR:
:Meet expected sales goals for sales contacts, appointments and completed sales
:Conduct follow up with prospects through either phone, email, mail or appointments to ensure that they are well informed of the move:in options and process
:Set appointments with prospects for tours of the community and conduct tours for walk:ins
:Initiate and process applications to include financial and medical records
:Notify depositor of
approval/disapproval status of financial application
:Schedule closing/move:in dates appropriate to the contract
:Work cooperatively with other departments for the benefit of the new resident to transition to the community in a stress:free environment
:Enter and update CRM database with accurate and timely daily/weekly tracking reporting for calls, appointments, follow:ups, etc.
:Prepare Monthly Marketing Reports for review by Director of Marketing
:Assist Director of Marketing in development and implementation of special events (on:site and off:site) to draw prospective residents to the Village
:Perform appropriate follow:ups, tours, etc. with event prospects
:Maintain awareness of senior marketplace and report significant changes to Director of Marketing
:Assists Director of Marketing in development and implementation of appropriate incentives to encourage move:ins
:Prepare contributions to social media sites weekly, including Facebook and website.
:Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times
:Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
REQUIREMENTS OF A SALES COUNSELOR:
:Bachelors degree in related major is required
:Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
:Experience in industry standard computer programs a plus
:Strong general computer skills, such as Outlook(r), Word(r) and Excel(r)
:CRM experience preferred
:High comfort level with social media sites
:Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
:Thrive in a team environment and work well with others
:Ability to be creative to meet customers needs
:Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
:Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the public
:Cheerful demeanor and professional phone manners.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS and PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF A SALES COUNSELOR
:Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day; may need to reach overhead, push/pull/lift objects, or ascend/descend stairs
:Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of twenty:five (25) pounds
:Sitting/standing for extended periods of time
:Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods.
