Sunday - Social Justice Warrior Princess Goes to Cambridge Common

I 'dress' and like to have a friend who 'admires' mostly behind closed doors. At night, at home... I also get out of the house to go to protest rallies and demonstrations downtown or at labor union picket lines. In fact, there's something happening tomorrow....

Cambridge Common has a memorial marking the anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan. At noon there is a ceremony in the park. I am a progressive who likes to get out of the house and go to events that have something to do with changing the world - like the nurse's picket lines last month, the Verizon strike last year, or protests at Park Street about war and peace - and a lot of other causes on the Left.

I don't go to most protests or meetings 'dressed;' I'm not trying to flaunt my own individual private lifestyle. I'd like to have a friend who might be interested in going to this event on Sunday, tomorrow. Or even a friend who doesn't mind hearing a little about what happened if I go and tell them about it later. I hope I'm smart enought to balance my conversation and speak of many things, but....sometimes social passion must come through.

I wanted to post something that was very real and very specific to anchor my appearance here in the real social world in the city of Boston.
