The concept of Vito’s is old North End meets new North End in a sports lounge environment. The walls are deep reds and rich greens with Tiffany lamps that invoke the feeling of a private club. There are six flat screen TVs for guests to watch their favorite sports teams in action. The artwork includes one-of-a-kind oil paintings by highly respected artist Giovanni (Shown top right and bottom left), mixed in with sports memorabilia and pictures of people named Vito. Included also, a photograph of Chef DiPaola’s niece’s bulldog, Vito, who inspired the restaurant’s name. A wide selection of draft beer, wine and cocktails are offered.

“I created Vito’s to offer North End residents a place to watch a game, enjoy a drink, and try some delicious food that is very different from the typical North End restaurant,” said DiPaola. “Vito’s fills the gap of something the North End has needed for a while- a sports tavern with a well-executed and eclectic menu.”

Chef DiPaola traveled all across the country to try some of the notable popular foods in different regions. Some of the standouts include his burger which is his take on a delicious burger he came across in California and some very special chicken wings. Vito’s grinds all their meat and the signature burger will be called “The Fifth Flavor” which is named for the fifth taste (after sweet, sour, salty, bitter). It includes a special blend of beef, roasted tomatoes, parmigiano frico, homemade San Marzano ketchup, shiitake mushrooms on a brioche bun.
